VR finally arrives to MSFS with Sim Update #2

The Microsoft Flight Simulator Team announced to day the release of the much waited Sim Update 2, which brings many new features and fixes. But the highlight of this update is definitely the inclusion of VR support, which includes Windows Mixed Reality devices as well as the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest, among others.

Obviously, with VR, you’ll need some pretty beefy PC specs.

Other notable new features are the inclusion of real-time snow and a more realistic ice cover all over the world, something to match with the festivities at least on the northern hemisphere. Talking about the holidays, there’s some cool easter eggs to discover, with 12 iconic landmarks around the world decorated with festive lights. Look for them across the world and tweet them to @MSFSOfficial and participate in this cool community challenge to find them all.

This update also includes new liveries, which serve as a thank you gift for the community for the shared journey in bringing MSFS to this current stage. The A320neo is getting some love too, with two new training missions that will help you take off and land, and a new landing challenge to test your newly acquired skills with the A320.

This Sim Update 2 is now available for download, just in time for the holidays. Check the full changelog on the official post and enjoy the long list of new features and improvements!
